Internationally renowned Japanese recording artist YOSHIKI and top Champagne maison POMMERY have announced their new Champagne brand that they will jointly manage, Y by YOSHIKI x CHAMPAGNE POMMERY.
YOSHIKI is known as a composer, producer, and rock drummer worldwide, but is also a very successful producer of Y by YOSHIKI, his line of Napa Valley wines in collaboration with Robert Mondavi Jr. The brand being among the bestselling premium California wines in Japan.
Founded in 1836, POMMERY is the creator of the “Brut Nature,” the first ever (dry) Brut Champagne, and is highly regarded as a trailblazer of the modern Champagne style. "Y by YOSHIKI × CHAMPAGNE POMMERY" is YOSHIKI's first Champagne, born of the partnership between these two innovative pioneers.
Since 2019, YOSHIKI and POMMERY have relentlessly been developing the DNA of this new Champagne brand. Through YOSHIKI's insatiable pursuit of quality and the craftsmanship of POMMERY, a Champagne that perfectly expresses the style, quality, spirit, and taste of their vision is finally here.

YOSHIKI is a composer, classically-trained pianist, rock drummer, and the leader of the rock groups X JAPAN and THE LAST ROCKSTARS. YOSHIKI was named "one of the most influential musicians and composers in Japanese history" by Consequence of Sound and is described by Billboard Magazine as "a musical innovator".
His worldwide projects include a song dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the Emperor of Japan's reign, the official theme song for the Aichi World Expo, Hollywood film soundtracks, and the official theme song for the prestigious Golden Globe Awards. Led by YOSHIKI, X Japan has sold over 30 million albums and singles, and has sold out the 55,000-seat Tokyo Dome a record-breaking 18 times. He was the first Asian musician to perform at the world's greatest music halls including Madison Square Garden, Wembley Arena, and a solo performance at Carnegie Hall.
In addition to his music activities, he is also a fashion icon as the designer of his high-fashion kimono brand YOSHIKIMONO and the first Japanese male to appear on the cover of Vogue Japan. In 2021, Baccarat selected YOSHIKI to design a Harcourt glass in celebration of its 180th anniversary. POMMERY was founded in 1836 in Reims, the central city of Champagne. In 1874, Madame Pommery created the world’s first (dry) Brut Champagne. Today, POMMERY is the largest winery in Champagne. The POMMERY style is preserved in accordance with the intentions handed down by Madame Pommery, and the finely-honed sensitivity, experience, and craftsmanship of their head winemaker.
